Rockville, MD — At Tanenholz & Marr, our work is grounded in one central idea: thoughtful, disciplined execution in document review and eDiscovery makes an enormous difference in the outcome of complex matters. But great execution starts with strong leadership and a commitment to ongoing learning.
That is one of the reasons we are proud to have one of our attorneys involve the National eDiscovery Leadership Institute (NeLI).
What Is NeLI?
NeLI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders in eDiscovery. Through structured programming, mentorship, and community-building, NeLI brings together professionals from across the industry — law firms, corporate legal departments, service providers, and technology companies — to foster deeper understanding, stronger collaboration, and more thoughtful leadership.
NeLI’s focus is not just on technology or process, but on the people who shape how eDiscovery is practiced. Its mission is to elevate the profession by investing in those who lead it.
The NeLI Podcast (NeliPod)
As part of that mission, NeLI produces the NeliPod — a series of in-depth conversations with judges, practitioners, technologists, academics, and industry innovators. One of our attorneys, Brandon Mack, co-hosts the podcast.
The podcast explores:
- Practical developments in eDiscovery and legal technology
- The evolution of leadership within litigation support and review teams
- The intersection of AI and legal practice
- Professional growth, mentorship, and career development
- The human side of high-stakes litigation work
Each episode is designed to be substantive, accessible, and candid — less marketing, more meaningful discussion.
Why This Matters to T&M
At T&M, we spend our days immersed in the realities of large-scale document review, technology-assisted workflows, and increasingly, AI-enhanced analysis. Participating in the NeLI podcast aligns naturally with our commitment to:
- Continuous improvement
- Thought leadership in review strategy
- Responsible integration of technology
- Building the next generation of legal professionals
The conversations on NeliPod reflect many of the same themes we wrestle with in our practice: how to maintain quality at scale, how to balance efficiency with defensibility, and how leaders can navigate rapid technological change.
