Biography
Charles Marr is a seasoned executive with significant experience directing substantial electronic discovery matters. Charles focuses his discovery practice on devising and implementing tailored discovery management plans matching overall litigation strategies with efficient and cost-effective discovery solutions.
Fully appreciating the increasingly complex legal and regulatory requirements, Charles works hand-in-hand with clients to assist in navigating a legal landscape frequently shifting due to the now ubiquitous use of technological communication and its effects on litigation discovery practice. Charles offers extensive experience guiding managed review protocols, leadership in conducting electronic discovery client conference meetings, as well as leading the review, analysis and production of electronically stored information and traditional documents.
Prior to joining the firm, Charles spent eight years as the General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer for Charter Holdings, Inc., a private asset management company responsible for an $850,000,000 commercial real estate portfolio. In addition to leading the company’s operations and personnel, Charles was responsible for oversight of all legal work for the firm including managing all litigation, overseeing the intense due diligence processes, and negotiating and drafting a wide variety of third party agreements. Charles was previously a litigation associate for the Hirschler Fleisher law firm in Richmond, Virginia.
Charles received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. from the Virginia Military Institute. He is a member of the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists and the District of Columbia Bar’s Litigation Section and eDiscovery Committee.
